Christopher and Justin Swader are New York-based scenic designers. Recent designs include collaborations with: Abingdon Theatre Company, Lincoln Center Education, Classical Theatre of Harlem, Columbia Stages, The New School for Drama, Luna Stage, National Black Theatre, 3LD, Cherry Lane Theatre, La MaMa, Manhattan School of Music, Park Avenue Armory, Trusty Sidekick, Mason Holdings, Astoria Performing Arts Center, The Orchard Project, Shadowland Stages, Company One, Speakeasy Stage Company, ArtsEmerson. Recipient of 2016 Henry Hewes Design Award Nomination. National Winners of 2011 KCACTF Barbizon Award for Scenic Design. Their design for The Circus in Winter won the award for Outstanding Scenic Design at the 2012 National Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival.
Their design for Jarring was recently selected as a finalist for the World Stage Design 2017 exhibition in Taipei, Taiwan.
Originally from Indiana, they are graduates of Ball State University.
